In 2019 SCOTT landscape design teamed up with Ingrid Swan of IS design to assist with the planning application of a 19.68 ha site in Balbriggan. Ferreira Architects were lead consultants with Hughes Planning Consultants project managing this large application for Dean Swift Properties.

The site is located between the Clonard Road and Flemington Lane on the periphery of Balbriggan approximately 3km west of the town centre and the harbour.

The application proposes to develop a new urban quarter of 593 units, consist of housing, duplexes and apartments in 1 to 4 bed room options. Building heights will vary. Two and three storey housing will be located at the periphery of the site and also where it bounds existing low-density development.

The development have a series of interconnected parks that will link into the proposed neighbouring developments through a network of new streets, pedestrian routes and cycleways.

The largest Public Open space to the north of the site to preserve Archaeology findings buried. It will become a dynamic space for users to enjoy a designated play area, public art, gentle mounding with clusters of clean stemmed urban trees, with a collection of benches for rest / enjoyment on an extensive grass area that can be used as a kick about area.

 

Finally in 2023 planning was achieved for the site.
