Landscape Design

About
Growing up on her family farm in Co. Kilkenny, Noranne developed an early love for the land and how it could be shaped. At just ten years old, she built her first pond, a sure sign she was destined for a future in design and construction.

After finishing school, she studied Horticulture at Kildalton College before spending a year in Holland propagating and grafting plants. That experience gave her a valuable insight into the commercial production of plants and deepened her appreciation of how things grow.

But design was calling. Noranne went on to complete a BA (Hons) and a Postgraduate qualification in Landscape Architecture at Leeds Metropolitan University, UK. She then gained experience in the public sector with Knowsley Council in Merseyside, followed by RPS Consultants in Huddersfield, where she worked on everything from transport networks to public realm projects.

A move to Asia brought new opportunities, working with the American firm Belt Collins in China and Hong Kong. There, she gained invaluable exposure to large-scale construction projects, further sharpening her expertise.

When Noranne returned to Ireland during the Celtic Tiger years, she joined Brady Shipman Martin in Cork. She refined her skills on projects ranging from housing and retail developments such as Ballincollig Barracks, to pharmaceutical expansions with Pfizer, and public sector work like Tramore Valley Park with Cork City Council.
